Albert Einstein slept here many times while visiting Palm Springs as a guest at The Willows of owner Samuel Untermyer in the 1930s. Several pictures of Einstein at The Willows are preserved in the Cal Tech Archive and the Palm Springs Historical Society. Today, the guest room features Art Deco mahogany furniture with a king-size bed presiding over two French doors that open to a private garden patio beside the waterfall where modern day guests can relax in the sun or have their breakfast. The bathroom features a claw foot slipper tub resting atop a travertine stone floor and separate tumbled stone shower. Daily three course gourmet breakfast for two, afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres and evening turn-down service included. No resort fees.
